How does the Kelly Group work?

The Kelly Group utilizes contacts at both the credit bureaus as well as most creditors throughout North America. Working with our contacts on a daily basis, some for almost 10 years, we are able to quickly correct and update derogatory trade-lines. Back to top.

How do I obtain a copy of my Credit Report?

These are the only two ways to obtain your actual FICO scores: through your mortgage broker or from MyFico. Every loan officer determines your eligibility by looking at the middle of your three scores. The scores offered by the individual credit reporting companies ARE NOT your FICO scores! For more information on this subject see "FICO scoring" above. Back to top.

Can Credit Consulting help me?

In one way or another, credit consulting can help everyone. Generally speaking, even the most damaged credit histories have the potential for improvement. Although there is no guarantee that your target score will be reached, there is a very high probability that your credit worthiness will improve over all. Back to top.

I am a mortgage broker.  How can The Kelly Group help me?

The Kelly Group works directly with the clients to remove derogatory reporting from the clients credit report. This raises the credit scores and allows you, their mortgage broker, to offer a more attractive loan to the client. Back to top.

How long do negative items remain on my Credit Report?

The general rule of thumb is that negative items remain on your report for seven years, although some items alter depending on what state you currently reside in. Positive items can remain up to ten years. The negative files removed by The Kelly Group stay "removed" forever. Back to top.

How long does the process take?

The average file can be completed in six to eight weeks. For an initial fee, clients may purchase a "rush process" which would allow our processors to work your file more often. Please note that each file is unique, and completion time may vary depending on size and specifics. Back to top.

How often can I check my progress?

Every time your score is pulled, it drops approximately 2 points. To avoid any unnecessary damage, the mortgage broker is only able to pull the clients credit on the day the file is completed. This process, again, is typically 6 to 8 weeks.

For the purposes of keeping you updated on your file's progress, The Kelly Group makes weekly update calls informing you of any changes and answering any of your questions. We know your financial future is in our hands, and we want you to be as informed as possible without further damaging your score. Back to top.

How much does your service cost?

For credit consulting, the price of our service is based on the type of accounts we are working for you. The most difficult types of accounts will cost more than the more basic types. Once you have contacted one of our professional sales associates, they will be able to offer you an itemized list of our fees catering to your individual needs.
